hi,
im a complete novice at using neuron. im having to do a project making the use of the programe for a university module.
i've created my own cell using cell builder and im trying to inject a spike train into the cell soma at say 10-20Hz and record in the dendrites as im looking at back propagation. i can inject a single current and record but need action potential trains??
sorry if this is a very simple question but i've had about 3 weeks contact with this programme and no teaching!
thank-you
spike train

Thanks for using NEURON in your project.
Sounds like you want to inject a sequence of current pulses into the soma, to trigger a
series of spikes. Go to NEURON's FAQ list
http://www.neuron.yale.edu/neuron/faq/general-questions
and look at this item:
Q: I just want a current clamp that will deliver a sequence of current pulses at regular intervals. Vector play seems like overkill for this.
