record current

Post by btr »

I have a problem with recording whole current from model. I use the "Mainen & Seinowski" model. Could anyone help me?
Thanks for the answer in advance.

To answer your question, it is necessary to know what you mean by "whole current."
1. Is it total ionic current, or total membrane current, or something else?
2. Is it for the entire model, or just for one compartment, or a separate value for each individual compartment?

Thanks for Your answer.

1.It is ionic + membrane current.
2.It is for the entire model.

Presumably you mean ionic + capacitive current.

Insert the extracellular mechanism into all sections, then record i_membrane. See http://www.neuron.yale.edu/neuron/stati ... racellular
