I can't say anything about colab. You might try NEURON 8.2.1 or 8.2.0.

It seems to be a pointer related issue in C/C++ of NEURON package and there is no way users can debug on python wrapper. Is it possible for you to write a python version of PlotShape function and upload it? Thanks!
