sodium pump model

Post by ted »

Carmen Canavier's model has an Na-K pump. Needs to be combined with an Na
accumulation mechanism. In her model, they're called pump.mod and nadifl.mod,
respectively. Might be a good starting point for your own uses.

Courtemanche et al take a similar approach. Their model also includes Na-Ca exchange,
K accumulation, etc.--see nacum.mod, nacaex.mod, nkpump.mod, kcum.mod etc..

There may be other examples in ModelDB as well.

In an attempt to bring more joy to ModelDB word searches I have added a hint link

http://senselab.med.yale.edu/senselab/M ... _hint.html

on the ModelDB home page

http://senselab.med.yale.edu/senselab/ModelDB/

on how to use the supplied perlfect engine driven search.

Using the "+" character to require each word in the search is frequently helpful.

Thanks, Tom, that hint is very helpful. I didn't know about it.
