Post by Bram »

Hello everyone!

i started using neuron a couple of weeks ago using the microsoft version, but now i bought a new macbook and want to run my files there...when i drag the file to the nrgui however it gives the following error message:

oc>/Users/bramvanvugt/Documents/Studie/Neuron/sthA.hoc
/Applications/NEURON-7.1/nrn/umac/bin/nrniv.app/Contents/MacOS/nrniv: parse error
near line 11
/Users/bramvanvugt/Documents/Studie/Neuron/sthA.hoc
^

it is probably a directory problem but i really dont know what to do...

thanks, bram

Bite your tongue! There is no "microsoft version" of NEURON. There is a version that runs under MS Windows, but MicroSoft has nothing to do with NEURON.

Have you thrown out any *.dll, *.o, and *.c files that were in the folder, and recompiled whatever *.mod files by dragging and dropping the folder onto mknrndll?
