I'm in the process of making a Dockerfile for NEURON to make it easier for others to try out simulations without installing on their own machines. I anticipate that I'll have a lot of questions throughout the course of this process... Apologies in advance, I haven't installed NEURON on a machine in a while.

I'm interested in using the python interface to NEURON. So I'm trying to follow the instructions here: https://www.neuron.yale.edu/neuron/down ... pile_linux

My first question, is where can I find the gzipped source files?? I seem to only be able to find .deb and .rpm which I don't think will work with the python interface, right?

We cunningly hide the link in public view on the Download page at NEURON's web site http://www.neuron.yale.edu/. This weeds out all but the most resourceful of potential users, and has greatly improved both the quality of questions posted on the NEURON Forum and the scientific impact of papers published by NEURON users.
