topological loops

Hello,

I was wondering if it is possible to make complete loops in dendritic morphology, e.g.:

Code: Select all

___________

__________

ok, that doesnt work well, but it's just a square, such that dendrite A connects to B which connects to C which connects to D which connects to A.
i know this seems very strange and unphysiological, but i'd like to play around with some unconventional morphological motifs. at the moment, this seems to not be allowed since it violates the strict parent-child structure of a normal tree. Is there some way around this?

Thanks.
