I'm looking at mod-files that describe HH-style kinetics of different currents. Can someone tell me what the 'trap0' function exactly does?

Many HH-style channel descriptions have one or more gating variables that are governed by algebraic formulas in which the numerator and denominator become 0 at a particular value of membrane potential. "trap" functions use a conditional statement so that when v approaches such a singularity, L'hosptial's rule is used to evaluate the formula.
