SectionLists() import at the CellBuilder - Problem

Post by makrseke »

Dear all,

I am creating in a hoc file a certain cell (created with all proc: topology, geometry, biophys, etc) but when I import it into the CellBuilder some of the cell's features are not imported: i.e. the SectionLists() I made for each section are not there; the diam, length, nseg characteristics, etc. are also missing and there are only the default values when I press to modify them. What can be the problem?
I am using the NEURON 7.4 in Windows 10.

Thank you in advance,
Best,
ted

You're not reading what the CellBuilder tells you on its Management page when you click the Import button. Or maybe you are, but what it says is too cryptic. What does it say will be imported?

It's unfortunate that section lists aren't imported from an existing model. But notice that NeuroML model Subsets ARE imported. Also, the Import3d tool preserves subsets that are defined in a morphometric data file.
