Re: Interpxyz.hoc interpolated segments not connecting

Thanks,Ted. I agree that the trajectory is of importance to the LSA, but I don't know how to get NEURON to compute currents between every single pair of connected 3d points? Is there such a parameter? If not, then I'll need to write one up. I basically need i_membrane() and area() to be computed for...

Interpxyz.hoc interpolated segments not connecting

Hello everyone. I'm working on an LSA model which requires that I rebuild cell morphology from NEURON generated segments. I'm using Ted's interpxyz procedure. But it looks like small connecting sections are missing. Here's 2 pics of a cell which shows missing portions in the cell: https://www.dropbo...

Re: Help saving section currents

For anyone reading this post and trying to compute LSA's from 3d morphology, the full answer was provided by Ted here:

Re: Help saving section currents

Thanks Ted and shailesh, much appreciate your advice. I am a summer intern at the Allen Institute and trying to build some models to be used for spikesorting. I actually figured out that what I was looking at wasn't wrong, it's just way too much. I was basically saving all the currents for every sin...

Re: Help saving section currents

Ok, I see... I was not looking at the right variables then. I guess I was just saving the 1st?! segment's currents?

So how do I loop over the number of nsegs in the forall{} loop? This seems to be so trivial... but I'm a bit lost as I've just started out.

Help saving section currents

Hi everyone. I'm a new user of NEURON and have gotten pretty far just hacking other people's code. But I'm stuck at trying to save individual segment currents to a file. I've gotten as far as shown below. I can generate current output but all the currents in a segment come out to be the same. So thi...
