Bug found(?): Linux Mint 18 with Anaconda
Hi all! After 3 days of pain, horror, sleep deprivation and other atrocities, I was able to install Neuron in my machine. The story is more or less like this: I had worked with python packaged installed by hand (pip install package), and I didn't want to waste time in installing every package that I...

Re: Unix/linux installation failure
Hello RBJ
I am having the EXACT problem, but running on OS X El Capitán.
Could you please, post exactly what you did in order to solve the issue?
do you know what those obscure headers do? (Xext.h and shape.h)

Re: libtool: No such file or directory
I take it slowly this time. It was the lack of command tools, as you told in your link.
I uninstalled neuron, installed Command Tools, and reinstaled neuron. Now it works almost perfect (no mpi, but it is not critical).
Thank you!

Re: libtool: No such file or directory
I've look the pdf. As far as I understand, it says that I must install command line tools from XCode, which I have Javier@Javiers-MacBook-Pro:/Applications/NEURON-7.4/nrn/share/nrn$ which libtool /usr/bin/libtool what puzzles me is this line, when trying to compile a mod file /bin/sh: /Applications/...

Re: [SOLVED] Compilation issues in El Capitan with 2 hard dr
After taking a break off trying to install NEURON, the issue was solved with the help of my friends </beatles>. It seems that there is something strange with my home path, which is not in /Users/whatever but instead is in /Volumes/Macintosh HD/myHome. Apparently this was the issue because the compil...

Re: Compilation issues in El Capitan with 2 hard drives
Ok, I'm puzzled now. I did a simbolic link. I'm going to detail every step, in case I did something wrong. so the first thing was to make a folder in /Volumes. $sudo mkdir /Volumes/Macintosh $sudo ln -s /Volumes/Macintosh\ HD/Javier /Volumes/Macintosh Javier@MacBook-Pro-de-Javier:/Volumes$ ls Macint...

Re: Compilation issues in El Capitan with 2 hard drives
