Introducing LFPy, a Python module for simulating LFPs

Postby ehagen » Thu Mar 22, 2012 9:41 am

Dear NEURON community,

I would like to introduce LFPy, a new, easy to use Python module for simulating extracellular field potentials from compartmental models relying on the use of the NEURON under the hood which is now public, here on the forums. Please see http://www.neuroinf.org/pipermail/comp-neuro/2012-March/003190.html for the original announcement.

LFPy's homepage can be found here; http://compneuro.umb.no/LFPy, with more information, downloads, installation instructions, online documentation etc.

On behalf of the LFPy-developers, I hope that the tools provided in LFPy can useful in some way or another in your research projects.

Best regards,
Espen Hagen
