Re: Automating PRAXIS: computing error and setting domains?

Thank you both for your replies! Not the "least squares error," whatever that means. As per the documentation in the Programmer's Reference http://www.neuron.yale.edu/neuron/static/new_doc/analysis/guitools/mulfit.html "error value is the square norm between data and dependent variabl...

Automating PRAXIS: computing error and setting domains?

Hello! I'm trying to automate fitting certain parameters in a multicompartment neuronal model by minimizing the error between the model's somatic Vm and experimentally recorded Vm from the same protocol. I previously did this manually using the MultipleRunFitter (MRF) but find the process inefficien...

Thanks!

NEURON 7.1 kaput on OS X Lion 10.7.2?

Hello! NEURON seems somewhat borked in the latest up-to-date version of OS X Lion (10.7.2). NB: I have the latest Xcode installed (4.2.1). I believe it started when I wished to run nrnivmodl on some mod files, and it failed with: ... "/Applications/NEURON-7.1/nrn/share/nrn/libtool" --mode=...

Re: Leave neuron running and close the session

You can also run NEURON within a "screen" session. GNU screen is a standard Linux/Unix program that can manage multiple shell sessions for you (i.e., "screens") and keep them running even if you're not logged into the system. Think of it as a "window manager" for the te...
