NEURON course at the 2011 Society for Neuroscience meeting

On November 11, 2011, we will hold a one-day course on NEURON as a satellite session of the annual meeting of the Society for Neuroscience in Washington, DC. In this course we will present practical tips to help beginners get started, an executive-level summary to help PIs understand how NEURON might be helpful in their research, and review some of the latest advances to help bring established NEURON users up to date. As of today (August 17, 2011), 13 seats have been reserved, and 5 of these have already been paid for. That works out to a rate of about 2 applicants/week, but August is always slow. The rate will accelerate considerably after September 1, even if I don't broadcast a "reminder" announcement (but of course I will).

All booked

Interest in the course was greater than we expected. All seats were reserved a week before the Oct. 14 registration deadline, and at the deadline there were 6 people on the waiting list. Unfortunately, the classroom holds only 30 students, and no larger space was available. The next time we do this course, we'll try to use a venue that allows expansion beyond our initial estimate.
